Bowler
Strikers sensation Darcie Brown is one of the most exciting fast bowlers in the country.
The youngest player to ever sign with the franchise at just 16 years of age, Brown is a gifted athlete who is already among the world’s fastest female bowlers.
Brown was selected for the Under-19 Australian side at just 15 years of age, earned her first State contract with South Australia by 16, made her WBBL debut as a 17-year-old and donned the green and gold for Australia in 2021 just a few weeks after her 18th birthday.
She claimed 3-13 in her WBBL debut and won the WBBL|06 Young Gun Award as the competition’s best player under 21 while also being named in the Team of the Tournament.
The Kapunda native earned another Team of the Tournament nod in WBBL|07 level with 20 wickets, ranked third for the series, and became the first Striker to claim a WBBL hat-trick against the Brisbane Heat in Launceston.
Now also a Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist, there seems to be no limit to Brown’s incredible potential in the WBBL and beyond.
