A powerful athlete with match-winning abilities, Penna played every game in her first season as a Striker in WBBL|06.
She showcased her big-hitting ability with a crucial 56* from just 33 deliveries against Hobart at Hurstville to steer the Strikers to victory in a Player of the Match performance.
Penna struck a second WBBL half-century the following summer all while maintaining an impressive strike-rate beyond 120 across both seasons.
