Beginning Friday October 11, the Adelaide Strikers will participate in the inaugural T20 Spring Challenge featuring all eight WBBL teams along with the ACT Meteors.
This new women’s domestic tournament will be played in both Sydney and Adelaide across 10 days. Each team will play four matches before the top four teams play off in the semi-finals and final. With the shortening of the WBBL fixture, this competition ensures there will be no overall reduction in the women’s domestic games over the 2024-25 season.
Squad of 13: Jemma Barsby, Maggie Clark, Emmerson Filsell, Paris Hall, Ellie Johnston, Eleanor Larosa, Katie Mack, Anesu Mushangwe, Courtney Neale, Annie O’Neil, Bridget Patterson, Maddie Penna and Amanda-Jade Wellington.
“We’re delighted with the Squad we have assembled for the inaugural T20 Spring Challenge. There is a great blend of familiar Adelaide Strikers faces along with some players getting their first opportunity to play in Strikers colours which is exciting, Strikers coach Luke Williams said.
“We’re looking forward to the opportunity to test ourselves and compete in this Tournament which will no doubt be a great hit-out in the lead up to the WBBL.”
The Strikers will play four home games at Karen Rolton Oval and then will travel to Sydney if they make the finals.
