Fast bowler Schutt will again play a key role for Australia after finishing as the leading wicket-taker of the 2017 home Ashes series with 18 scalps at an average of 15.16 and an incredible economy of 3.59.
The series will be played across all formats with three ODIs, three T20Is and a Test scheduled throughout July. Teams will be awarded two points for each ODI and T20I win, while a Test win is worth four points.
The Australian squad features largely familiar names with young quick Tayla Vlaeminck and opening batter Nicole Bolton included. Victorian Sophie Molineux is the only omission from the country’s most recent series against New Zealand.
Young Strikers duo Tahlia McGrath and Amanda-Jade Wellington continue to remain on the radar of national selectors with the National Performance Squad members earning spots in an Australia A squad to also tour England.

National Selector Shawn Flegler expected England to provide a worthy test for Australia’s talented squad.
“The Ashes is arguably Australia’s biggest bilateral series and one that is always a really tightly fought contest. As holders of the Ashes it’s going to be a big challenge for the team to bring the trophy back to Australia, but we believe the side has the right mix of talent and the depth to do exactly that,” he said.
“We’re fortunate to be able to take an Australia A side to England as well which will give us flexibility with the squad as we move through the various formats.”
The squad will be coached by Leah Poulton, with Queensland’s Scott Prestwidge and Tasmanian Michael Dighton her assistants.
